About

Carmel Mar Thoma Youth Fellowship was founded in 2011 for the church’s youth members to grow in maturity and help each other accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Although still a young fellowship group, the organisation is proud to have hosted three youth conferences.

Alongside hosting conferences, the fellowship conducts monthly cottage prayer meetings and has been an integral part of all of Carmel MTC Liverpool’s activities, including foodbank work for the local community and charity work in Kerala. Its goal remains to help youths equip themselves for Christian fellowship and worship, and to become role models for the upcoming generation.

2025–26 Highlights

A year shaped by faith, fellowship and service — with active participation in parish, Centre and Diocesan events well beyond youth-specific programmes.

Our youths took part in the 7th Mar Thoma Youth Conference at Yarnfield Park, Staffordshire, joining over 200 young people from across the Diocese for worship, teaching and fellowship under the theme ‘Ignite, Equip & Pass it on’ (2 Timothy 2:2).

Closer to home, the fellowship played a key role in planning and delivering parish life — supporting the Sunday School Summer Fest, organising games at the Parish BBQ, and actively assisting with Vacation Bible School.

The Youth Fellowship also achieved 1st Prize in the North-West Centre Bible Quiz, contributed a choreography performance at the Mar Thoma Meet, and took part in the Convention Choir and Heavenly Symphony musical night.

In service to the wider community, the fellowship ran a month-long food collection drive for the Whitechapel Centre, delivering a substantial donation just before Christmas. During Great Lent, youth members contributed daily reflections to a 50-day Lenten podcast series, shared with churches across the Diocese.

Youth Sunday was celebrated on 22nd October under the theme ‘Youth in Christ Style’ (Matthew 19:16), with youths leading worship, serving the congregation, and caring for the church afterwards.
